Two new releases by heRobust. ‘Late Night’ has a more energetic/bass heavy feel to it than ‘Morning After’, which sound a bit more toned down/relaxed with even some jazzy sax sounds on ‘Chaka Con Artist’. Both releases sound very crisp and polished, no vinyl dust here. You can still very much hear the influence of traditional boombap in there though, but blended with a lot of fresh ideas and cool new (glitchy) sounds.
